Our Story
Mountain Air Helicopters was founded by Dwight and Marina Jones in 2003 with a shared passion for aviation and a commitment to building a company centered on safety, reliability, and quality work. What began as their vision has grown into an established helicopter operation based in Los Lunas, New Mexico, serving customers throughout the Western United States and beyond.
Over more than two decades, Mountain Air has expanded its capabilities across wildfire suppression, utility, construction, agricultural, surveying, aerial photography, and other specialized helicopter operations. The company has built its reputation through hands-on experience, dependable field support, and a commitment to finding practical solutions for demanding missions.
Today, Mountain Air continues to be led by Dwight and Marina, with members of the next generation choosing to build their careers with the company. Alongside the rest of the Mountain Air team, they bring their own skills, experience, and perspectives to the operation while continuing to build on the foundation established in 2003.
