Fire Fighting
Every summer, Mountain Air commits aircraft to wildfire operations. We've supported fires including the South Fork Fire and the Frijoles Fire in 2026, working alongside the agencies and crews responding on the ground.
Rescue & Emergency Response
Mountain Air has supported rescue and emergency operations in some of the most challenging environments. In 2005, our crews supported relief efforts following Hurricane Katrina, providing helicopter support when communities needed it most.
In 2026, we helped Fish and Game biologists reach a remote canyon in the Gila Wilderness and rescue 78 threatened Gila trout after wildfires destroyed the only trail into the area.
Two very different missions, but both mattered. Sometimes the mission is about saving lives. Sometimes it's about protecting something that can't be replaced. Either way, the work matters.
Experience You Can Rely On
Our experience also includes specialized aviation recovery operations and other emergency missions that require careful planning, experienced crews, and dependable aircraft.
Whether supporting a wildfire, rescue operation, or emergency response, our goal remains the same: provide safe, capable aviation support when it matters most.
